I have an Edson pedestal that did not come with the pedestal guard top plate, can this be retrofitted to my current pedestal or will I need a new pedestal? Other options?

Good question, which can up before on the threads below. Make sue it is an Edson pedestal as you might have a Yacht Specialties pedestal. If it is an Edson contact them to identify the specific guard you want depending on your requirements as they manufacture 3 different designs and can supply entire just the legs, base or entire kit (see link below).
