2016 was a very hectic year in my business. I had to skip sailing trips and events way too many times. I resolve to get out on the STARGAZER more often in 2017. And maybe even go somewhere in her.2017 was a bad year for sailing on STARGAZER. Family issues kept us at our dock. My New Year's Resolution is to not let the same "issues" prevent me from my passion - which is sailing my beautiful boat!
You are missing a part, the Alladin has a ceramic fabric mantle not unlike the Coleman lantern that turns that wick flame into a bright light. Absolutely essential that you use the proper fuel, standard kerosene is not pure enough. And they put out a ton of heat, easily enough to keep the saloon warm. Thanks Gene. That is why my boating buddy gave it up on his smaller boat. Had not used it for years for that reason. It comes with a heat shield.![]()
Thanks for the tip. Lantern came with a new mantel and almost new wick. Will Class III fuel work or does it have to be 1-K kerosene? Any CO2 worries? You are missing a part, the Alladin has a ceramic fabric mantle not unlike the Coleman lantern that turns that wick flame into a bright light. I know what you are saying. In Turkey and Croatia, it's almost impossible to charter without an ICC. In Greece, they signed UN resolution #40 so is IS the law, but you find very spotty enforcement. You have to remember that you get your charter license from the harbor POLICE, who are real cops. If the charter guys knows the locals will issue the charter licences without an ICC, you are indeed golden.JACK, I'M NOT GOING TO SAY YOU'RE WRONG, BUT I DON'T THINK YOU ARE RIGHT. MY CLUB CHARTERS TWICE A YEAR, AND THE SKIPPERs-TO-BE GET THEIR TICKET IN THE STATES FROM VARIOUS SOUURCES.
Traverse city is a beautiful place to be especially in the summer months a mecca of golf and boating, you may need a bigger check book to live there though that is for sure, Petoski municipal maria is a very nice facility, don't know how easy it is to get in, but in talking to the harbor master this fall they just invested a ton of dough in the facility, we stayed there this past fall for an overnight.crewing on chicago mac is a highlight for 2017. i also just accepted a new position in our company in Traverse City. ...so finding a marina there is also on the goals list
