Gennaker

I am inquiring if anyone has used a Gennaker or similar sail with their 310. Where or how they placed the sheet blocks. I would also like to hear how well it works and the speed gained, to include the ease of raising and dousing. Also any comments on manufacturer support.

Dealer Recommendation

I am in the process of commisioning a 310 and my dealer recommended staying away from the Catalina gennaker and considering a more performacne oriented sail. Just as a point of reference a Norh Sails gennaker is $1,850. Having a full inventory of North Sails on my Catalina 22 I expect that I will change out the 310 main and jib over the next year for a new suit of NS plus add the assymetric chute. I know they are overpriced but they do trim out great on the C22.Frank
