Gelcoat Repair question

I need to repair these two gouges on my boat. They're smaller than my thumbnail but they do go just to the laminate. Does it need only gelcoat repair or is this more involved?

Just gelcoat. They are dings, not cracks.

I have repaired similar issues using Marine Tex (white). Worked well and sands smooth. Not a perfect match but fine for a 40 year old boat and has held up for 4 seasons so far.

Gel coat only. Be sure to grind out the rough stuff so the gel coat isn't sitting on air when you apply it.
