Gate Valve Replacement

I just bought a '72 C27 recently and I want to replace the old thru-hull knob type valves with newer lever valves. I am going to haul it out soon so I was hoping somebody knew the sizes, hole diameters etc.. so I can order them now and be ready to do it as I will have limited time on the hard. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Be sure to get rid of the half-a**ed "to" hull and install a proper through hull. LaDonna

Seacocks

On TASHTEGO I had two bronze thru hulls already installed; a 1 1/4" for the head outlet to sea and a 1/2" scoop strainer for the engine cooling water inlet. The head inlet and the sink/ice box drain were volcanos (bronze pipe embedded in a mound of plastic). I removed the volcanos and installed the following: a 3/4" bronze thru hull and seacock and a small sea water strainer for the head inlet; a new 1 1/4" bronze thru hull and seacock for the head outlet; a 3/4" bronze thru hull and seacock for the sink drain with a bronze tee and a bronze ball valve for the ice box connection; a 3/4" bronze scoop strainer/thru hull and sea cock for the engine cooling water inlet with a new raw water strainer. The sea cocks need mounting blocks under them which I made from teak coated with epoxy. Each sea cock needs a tailpiece to connect from th sea cock's pipe thread to hose. The head outlet needed a 1 1/4" pipe to 1 1/2" hose tailpiece as the head hoses and "Y" valve use 1 1/2" hose. Assemble using 4200 to seal the thruhulls and lots of teflon tape on the threaded connections. I have posted a more detailed description previously. Look in the archives.
