Can't wait to hear remarks. I am doing the same thing and was thinking of no wedge but 1/2" starboard on outside and inside.

Well as I have been re-thinking, I think I need the wedge after all. It will extend the reach of the outboard and allow for proper slight downward angle. I was always thinking the outboard needed to be perfectly vertical in the water. After reading, it needs a slight downward angle. Opposite of what my motor boating experience tells me. I'll keep you posted. Oh yea, have to do this while in the water. I do not have a trailer...good times!
