I would be a little worried about pulling down on the bow with nothing up front supporting it.
I put my strap over the bow directly above the bow roller on the trailer. I also pay attention when loading the boat to get it far enough forward to set on the bow roller on it's own. I dont worry as much about the winch bumper touching... (see pic in other reply ^^)
