I just purchased a C30. The galley sink will not drain. I have opened every valve and through hull I can find, still no luck. Can anyone give me a steer on this? Thanks, Chip

Galley Drain C30

Chip, I've had the same problem with my 1987 C30. There's a "one-way" valve in the drain line just below where the line "Tees" off that has given me most of the trouble, and now that I think about it, mine may be installed backwards. I'll check it next time at the boat, and let you know if that's the culprit. Hope this helps, Roger s/v Sea Esta

one-way valve

Roger, Thanks for the help, I will look at mine again with a good flashlight and see what I can find. This is very annoying; I had the surveyor and rigger look at it also and they could not figure it out. I will be on the boat tomorrow and look at it again. I would appreciate a follow-up from you if you learn anything more. Thanks, Chip

Drain Trouble-try this

Mine was draining so slow it was almost stopped up competely. I used a air horn (like one from west marine) put the horn end over the drain and laid it on, it worked. The air pressure loosened the blockage.

Problem solved

Thanks Ken, I will remember that one, bet it will come in handy one day. I got a flashlight and looked myself today. Turns out the person helping me the other day said the thru hull was open, turns out it was closed; I opened it and it drained immediately. Guess if you want it done right and look for yourself and do it yourself. A lesson learned. Chip
