Rick, I have the same engine and just did this last week. Spin off the old filter, install a new one. I do not fill the new fiter with fuel because the electric fuel pump does it quickly and I'd probably dump it everywhere anyway. With the new filter installed, use a wrench to losen the bleed bolt on top of the injector pump. Turn you engine keey to on, the fuel pump will start clicking and it will take about 30 seconds for fuel & air bubbles to show up around the bleed bolt. When you are getting only fuel, tighten the bleed bolt and the pump will stop in a few seconds. Start the engine and let it run. My engine will stall after 2 minutes if I did not get all the air out, so then just repeat the bleeding procedure. Someone one suggested to me to start the engine before changing the filter to make sure it will run and no other problem has developed since the last use. Good luck and always keep a spare filter or two on board.
