The pump that delivers fresh water to the galley will come on for a few seconds about every half hour all night long. Is there a low pressure sensor or something similar that causes this ? Is this adjustable ? Thanks

leaky pump
The pump usually has a pressure switch built in that turns it on when the pressure drops below a certain point. I don't believe there is any adjustment, and it wouldn't help you anyway. You may have a leak in your water hose(s), or the water may be leaking back through the pump. Either one will cause the pressure to drop. Most likely though is a slight leak in the plumbing between the pump and the faucets. You could possibly turn off power to the pump at night to keep it quit if you can't find, or don’t want to fix the problem.

I agree with Jon. The first place I would check is all hose connections to see if one may be leaking. If there are no leaks another option may be to check the diaphram in the pump. Most pumps have a re-build kit available. That might be the solution to your problem.

Bet it's a leak in a fitting...very slow, 'bout enough to make your pump come on every half hour or so!

I have the same problem
On my 2004 Catalina 310-I have not checked the fittings yet but I bet thats what it is..and a very slow leak at that.

The accumulator won't fix a leak
that is making the pump run. It will reduce pump run time by keeping up pressure on the supply side to the faucets. Find the leak. Turn it off at night, no one's using it. When we leave the boat, and sometimes even at night, we turn the pump off at the panel and run the water out - just like purging the CNG out of the hose by closing the valve and opening the burner, so the gas doesn't sit pressurized in the hose. Wade I had a similar problem, finally dedided it had to be a leak and found my plumbing at my swim step shower had a small leak. It is now on my list to repair. Earlier I found the relief valve on my hot water heater was seeping. I replaced that. Dale
