fresh water leak

it appears i have a water holding tank leak . when i fill tank ,it leaks a couple of gallons into bilge, any suggestions? thanks

If you're only losing a couple of gallons when the tank is full, the leak has to be at the top of the tank. If it's a FG tank with a lid, that's prob'ly the source and fairly easy to fix.

Check the fittings on the bottom of the water tank to ensure they are not the culprit. If there is a leak there get them fixed right away. Check and replace the fittings not just add some silicone to the outside. A stich in time....

get some talc and dust the area below the tank and perhaps up the sides- the leak will wash out the powder and you'll have a trail to the source.
