fresh water holding tank is murky...

I have a 1985 Catalina 27 and was wondering whats the best way to make the fresh water holding tank clean and sparkling again.....Just bought the boat from previous owner and water is murky.....

They're usually just call fresh water tanks, to avoid confusion between the clean water and the "holding tank" which is for waste from the head.

I drained mine, then swbbed it out with a stivk and towel along with solutio. Of bleach. I flushed and drained again.
