fresh water failure

the frech water system in my 1988 catalina 30 is not running water the pump seems to be pumping ,but minimal water comes out of either faucet.is the pump finished??or does it need to be primed somehow???also,if it is broken what is the appropriate replacement pumpand where do i purchase it??

Lost prime.

Mine loses its prime if it goes completely empty. It is supposed to be a self-priming pump, but it doesn't. Remove the hose as it goes into the pump (pull the tab out and the hose end has a quick disconnect fitting). Let water drain out until the air bubble is gone and reconnect. Try the faucet again.Its a pain in the a** so I just refill my water tanks BEFORE they run dry.

Check pump, check faucet nozzle

You should be able to tell if the pump is still running by simply listening. Assuming that it does run, and that you have checked the prime as suggested by others, then check the faucet nozzle. I couldn't figure out why I was getting such minimal flow from my galley faucet, while the head faucet was fine. I removed the aerator nozzle on the galley faucet, and found that the flow was terrific. It must have been clogged.
