I've never seen the software on a Droid but I do know that it's used by 800 other forums, plus... I didn't write this code, so I'm pretty sure it's stable. :)

Go back out to the list of forums and see if there are any icons at the top of bottom of the screen.

Any help here from some Droid users?
Use the menu button when you first run it and login. The Droid version is much better than the iPad version as it allows you to actually customize your settings. I so hate my iPad. Hopefully some decent Android based tablets will come out this year. Samsung is a farce.

That was the answer Tim. I did not see a way to "login". But the menu button on the frame got me those five important icons: "Refresh Page, Mark All Read, Search, Login, Settings" . Then after login there are seven new menu items. Now I need "New Posts" along with "Site Talk". :)

Any plans for the BlackBerry? Life would be perfect if that happens...and if the weather would warm up!
Or Windows7?

It looks exactly the same as on my computer.
The login at the first page seems to be the key. Posting this frm my DROID.

I don't believe the software we're using is available for the W7 platform yet, but as it grows in market share I'm sure it will be.

just downloaded it and I really like the iphone app. I'm sure I'll be spending some time cruising the pages.

The full name of the app in the iphone app store is "Sailboat Discussion Forum". there's a bunch of sailboat related items. It has the same sail logo as the site forum (as it should).

Not sure how much Droid time I will use. Mine goes through the battery just laying around shut off. I am sure it is because some app is running all the time. Shouldn't the "Task Manager" show you where the CPU is being used?

I do like the SBO app now that I am permanently logged in. Never farther away from Phil than my nightstand where the charger lives. :)

Ed - try 'Advanced App Killer' for your Droid. I think the latest version is 1.9.3. It helps on the battery life.

Thanks Ted, just found and downloaded something called "Application Task Killer". A freebie and it does say "v1.9.3" under info. Says to add "Force Stop" on pop-up menu to kill reopen apps. Guess that is the key. As an aside, can you explain your avatar?

Ed - that s the app I was thinking about. I have it set to kill open apps on an hourly basis. But I put it on my main home page so it is in plain sight & I can manually kill the open apps after I check e-mail or text or am ready to put the phone on standby. Available memory generally goes from 70M or 80M to 140M or 150M. (I assume the M means megabytes.) Seems to save battery.

With regards to the avatar - the St. Michael's Maritime Museum has these cardboard guys standing around the yacht club bar in their blazers acting all full of their bad-ass yachting selves. I was visiting in camo shorts & a t-shirt so I borrowed a blazer and figured I would mess with their heads a little. Any my 1st mate thought the Commodore was very sexy . . .
