Trying to minimize prop torque/walk, especially in reverse. I have proposals for 2-blade folding props from GORI, MarTec, MaxProp and Flex-O-Fold. Can any C28 Mk II owners with experience with any of these props give me a little feedback? This may result in a technical section item in an upcoming Mainsheet.

folding prop

Since you have not had any response yet, I had 9 years experience with a Gori folding prop on a Mirage 25. Absolutely no noticeable prop walk. It was like driving car in and out a parking spot. My only complaint was that we get a lot of long weeds in our harbourin the fall. When shifting between forward and reverse, the weeds wrap around the prop like fishing line and have to be removed by hand. I have a friend with a feathering prop who has the same problem. I now have a c320 with a lot of starboard prop walk.........every boat is a compromise.

You might want to consider a Campbell Sailor prop. 2 or 3 blade narrow design. Reduce surface area when sailing, but plenty of power both forward and reverse, prop walk is minimized. I almost bought a Gori, asked a couple different salesmen at the boat show about fouling....both avoided the question. Happy I went with the Campbell. Several places to get one, I got good service from Norm at www.westbynorth.com
