One of our yachts is a little "princess" (18'). She was built in Sydney Australia and is a lot of fun to sail.It has two windows each side that were held on (outside surface mount) with rivets and silicon. The perpex has now cracked and needs replacing on all four.I have cut the new material which is similar to perpex but a lot stonger and what I plan to do is use sicaflex to hold them on rather than use a whole bunch of rivets. My question is has anyone got a bright idea as how to hold them against the side of the hull while the sicaflex sets. I thought of running peicees of timber across the cabin top and extend out perhaps a foot each side and brace back to each window.Any help would be very much appreciated.
