I would like to get feed back from owners of Fischer Panda generators, as to any problems they are or have experienced. I have had numerous problems relating to the controller board and oil pressure switch, overcharging the battery, and exh gas temp sensors. I would like to find out whether my generator is an isolated incident or others out there have experienced similiar problems. Specifically, my model is the 8kwEtec

the article Don referred to is one of their DC models. I've had a FP mini 8kw A/C genset since 2000 on my H410. absolutely no problems. not familiar with their 8kw Etec. Bryce

Slipin Away, I would recommend that you give my office a call and speak to someone in our service department. They can be reached at 800-508-6494. If you are unable to get a hold of someone in service give me a call and I will have one of my technicians speak to you and see if we can solve your problem. As for the term Etec it refers to the self diagnostic panel that comes with the newer Fischer Panda models. This feature has been available for the past few years. The Etec or digital panel as we refer to it gives you all your load readings, temperature readings, hours and if you have a failure it will come up on the screen and tell you what is wrong. There are also several other features that come with this panel but I hope that gives you an idea. Feel free to call my office or email me anytime if you need help.
