First reef 1998 Catalina 320

I have a 1998 Catalina 320. The first reef comes back to the cockpit on the port side block. Mine seems to transfer to a second line mid-way in the boom and exits up out of the boom and needs to be tied off. Where? I cannot seem to interpret the manual diagram.

Mine didn't seem to be well arranged either. I opted to eliminate the #1 drawdown and just rig the upper #2. That way if I want to only draw to #1 I can pull down to #1 ties and tie her off there. If I want #2 then draw on down and secure her there. Works real nice and eliminates an unneeded line. Chief

I think you are referring to the end that ties to the boom thru a grommet on the foot of the sail, the diagram on this webpage shows the line.
