One can always dream!

Sorry, I just got a healthy bit of class resentment brewing, I guess…

Truth is, I'm also a retro-grouch, and while a boat like that would certainly be nice, I just don't like the looks of it too much. Still stuck in the designs of the late 80's, I guess… Which actually isn't all that retro, is it? :D:D:D
the Beneteau may be a nice boat in every respect, but the video is a fairly long running and mundane affair to show nothing more than how you can hang a travel bag on the hook, and how the partitions can be put in to create some privacy... and it leaves one to wonder where they were stored at before they were needed....

the production of the video and what it depicts, vs. any of the videos or photos of my boats, would leave a person thinking that beneteau boats are boring, not sexy and no fun at all.... but they do have room in them:D

I agree the boat can be an acquired taste.

The gal however, has pretty much universal appeal!

But back to storage.... I find guys tend to bring MUCH more stuff on the boat than the ladies do.. maybe we feel we have to be 'boy scouts' and prepare us, the crew, and the boat for every eventuality up to the zombie Apocalypse, but my bag(s) out-weighs my partner Pia's by 3x.

Having done distance races with all guy and all gal crews, I think you are absolutely right that guys pack more stuff. I know I pack more than my wife.

Speaking of layouts, I think that convertible V birth is a pretty slick idea. Common in power sport boats; sorta a Euro thing originally as I recall. In our Hunter Vision 32, the V berth was open and privacy was curtains. (The master was aft.) Made it much more open. Another thing, I am disappointed how most new boats have so little hanging locker space. We have five on our Hunter 40.5 and would really miss them if they were not there. From a layout standpoint, they do take up a lot of room.
