fiberglass cure time

merlin here is my first layer, I am going to glue up a second layer of 7/16" T&G the oppisite direction front to rear. Question is should I glass now then install second layer, or install second layer then glass. Red

Your doing something completely SO out in left field so it's kind of hard to say

The only thing I can say for sure is it does not look like you even sanded the old glass before starting as I see all kinds of old polyester resin still peeling

I know exactly what I am doing, I have only worked with glass a few times.I just want to know how long b-4 I can glue to fresh fiberglass....

If it is epoxy about 48 hours but if it is an amine based hardner you should scrub with water to get rid of the amine blush then wipe down with acetone or alcohol.

I know exactly what I am doing, I have only worked with glass a few times.I just want to know how long b-4 I can glue to fresh fiberglass....
All depends if you are using 'wax inhibited' resin (can over-coat without further work) or 'non-inhibited' / no-wax resin / 'finishing' resin (which needs sanding/grinding of the surface before recoating).

Ok, thanks, i figured to sand wf #60 grit, I wanted to make sure I waited long enough, to cure so I can glue to it......Thanx guys....Red
