Bill, I chose a 33lb. Bruce for the self resetting ability. It fits fine on the 99's + , but I have read postings on the Catalina Lists that the earlier - and I don't know the year or hull # of the change - bow rollers are too short to fit a Bruce because the flukes will hit the hull.
