Extremely Dumb Question!

Hi folks!I'm a new owner (2/99) of a '86 Catalina 30 and I've got a stupid question....WHERE THE HECK IS THE WATER HEATER?I was merrily winterizing my boat this week end and wished to drain the water heater and could not find it! I know its got to be in the port/aft quarter somewhere!Also, if anyone has any documents, links, etc. on winterizing procedures specific to a Cat 30 let me know! Water heater location

The water heater (120v shore powered) on my 81' catalina is located in the V-berth under the fwd access panel.

The water heater on my Cat-30 is located directly under the galley sink. It's very easy to service.

My 1991 C30 has its water heater under the aft berth.

Could be anywhere

Steve,We have 83 Cat 30 and the heater is in the Port lazerette... But judging from the previous three replies yours could be anywhere! Good luck in your search.

my water heater in my 87 cat. is unter the aft berth. access panel under the cushion.

No heater?

Are you sure you have one? You said the boat is new to you -- have you used hot water? C30s have a switch on the panel and some even have an extra water tank with hoses but no heater. Perhaps the original owner didn't order it.
