Exterior trim wood species?

Boat is 1982 Hunter 33

I have some wood replacing to do this season and want to make some attempt to match up anything I replace with what is already there.

I do not think it's teak. So if anyone has already done this research, it would be most helpful.

The hand rails are good as is but the companionway trim and the slide hatch trim are a goner.

All the exterior wood trim on my ‘82 H30 is original and I‘m certain it’s teak. Since your boat would have been in the same factory the same year, it seems likely your trim was also originally teak. There‘s no telling though what kind of modifications may have been done over the last 44 years.

Teak on our H36 in the places you mention. I replaced the cockpit combing pads where the main winches are mounted with synthetic "wood" - looks good, zero maintenance, but it is warped due to me adding the "kerfs" in it and it can't adhere to the gelcoat...also is a bit slippery. Not sure I'd recommend this route unless you can't find a suitable, natural replacement...
