Yeah, it's a ripoff. A friend I talked to last week told me CD told him they wouldn't sell the riser itself without the wrap!

Their writeup on the wrap says:

Our jackets are prefabricated from multiple layers of high tech thermal protection including a 1/2" ceramic fabric core and silica cloth rated at 1800 degrees continuous. Smooth channels are sewn into the jackets to make installation using stainless steel tie bands a snap. Simply place the jacket around your exhaust riser, slip the bands through the channels, pull the bands snug and snip off the excess.

No reason you can't simply go to Home Despot or something similar and purchase it.

I also have a 5411 & it doesn't even have any insulation wrap on the exhaust riser, as many engines also don't have. Sooner or later you may have to remove & clean out the riser from carbon buildup & corrosion, & the wrap would likely be damaged when removing it. Not sure what the real benefit of the insulation would be any way, as most of the heat comes from engine itself. I would put your money into insulating the engine compartment inner perimeter, which will help contain heat & noise.

Although if you still want exhaust wrap, Donnybrook's idea is a good one.
