Hi, I have a 1988 Catalina 30 with a Universal MX25. My exhaust manifold is weeping (and rusted pretty bad around the weld for the water injection). Has anyone replaced this? Catalina says they will build a new one for $165, but I have to send in the old one. Waiting to hear back from them on how long it would take. Any other suggestions on replacing the existing manifold? Tom

Exhaust Riser Replacement
Tom It's called an exhaust riser. The manifold is a different part of the engine, to which the riser connects. Check the link from the C34 website message board. I also wrote a long article with pictures in the February 2004 Mainsheet, Catalina 34 Tech Notes section. If you don't have one, try a Catalina dealer. Catalina does a great replacement job with a quick turnaround. Stu
