When running my Northern Lights Generator on my 2000 Hunter 460, the exhaust loop in the aft starboard locker has begun to bang against the inside of the hull. It's a pretty good hit as I can hear it and feel it when I am sitting in the salon. I attempted to 'hold' the hose with my hand and I can 'slow down' the movement, but I can not arrest it. The knocking started a week or two ago after many years of smooth operation.
What would cause the such a strong force in the exhaust line? Yes, I know that it is the exhaust water that it is pushing. But why is it pushing with such strong pulses, rather than a smoother flow?
Thank you,
Rob
