My mounts are rubber insulated. . .guess it depends on the boat, or year?

I checked the water temps today, . . .55* Don't plan on going overboard for a few more months  Though, that isn't a bad idea.

Definitely considering a fixed blade prop. I wouldn't mind better reverse, and higher rpms going forward. . .I've read the Indigo's are a nice prop. Just not sure how much it will slow me down. .subject for another thread, maybe?

I'll let you guys know how things turn out, probably this weekend. I want to try as much diagnostic and repair that is possible in the water. I really don't want to have to pull this early, because she might go up for sale then. . .tired of work, I want to play

Wow!

Ok, after getting some feeler gauges in there. . .I see "close" wasn't close enough

After a few hours bent over in half, I managed to get it to between .003" and .004". The .003" slips in on one side, and the .004" doesn't fit anywhere. . .This was after everything was bolted down. Spec is .003" I'm not sure how much closer I can get it in the boat like it is. Shaft turns over easier as well. If everything was new, it would be much easier. Which could be a summer project. . .replace all the mounts and check strut alignment when I haul in fall.

Kind of wish I hadn't had the prop already removed. . .which according to the shop is in pretty good condition, lol. Going to clean up the carb and fill the tank with fresh fuel and start 'er up! I'll report back then.

Thanks yall!
