Hello everyone.
I have an Oceanis 411 Clipper. Originally I believe the engine was a Volvo Penta, but has been changed at some point to a Nanni, which caught fire and burned. There is a possibility to rebuild the current engine (Not assured until removed and sent off), or put in a new engine. Sorry for the sketchy details, as I’ve been unable to exactly identify the current engine but I believe at best guess it is Nanni 4 cyl 30-40hp Kubota base.
Any advice for the most cost effective solution? It would be great to use the current gearbox and I’m wondering if I could fit a smaller Nanni, say 20hp without compromising safety. I’m not concerned with having a faster boat under motor.
many thanks for any help or ideas
