Heat shrink a bicycle brake outer tube to the end of the plastic tube. It bends easy to reach the lowest point in the pan and won't melt in hot oil. The bicycle brake outer tube is essentially a coil spring with plastic cover. Also smaller to fit inside dip stick tube.
Sucking oil out gets about a cup more oil out than drain. Measure it next time. The oil pan has a nut welded inside for the drain plug thread. Depends on where the drain plug is, it can leave 1/4 inches of oil and sludge inside.
