Engine Hour (LCD) Meter Repair

I just did this on an MD2020 yesterday.

For Volvo I used the part mentioned above from Ebay (LCD replacement from China labeled VDO/Kenworth/Penta odometer) and used this video as instructions. The tach part took about 30 mins being very careful and it works great! Getting access to the back of the instrument panel was about 10x harder than taking the tach apart and replacing the lcd.

One point for other Yanmar owners - It was a bit tricky getting behind the faceplate - holding it up while getting the old screen out. Would be nice if someone had advice on getting the tach needle out, so you could do the repair without the faceplate in the way (looked different than either VDO or Vovlo Tach needles, which seem to come off easily).
