Hate to jump in halfway through but what are these WAGO blocks and their advantages? Might by something to check in to. Thanks. JQ
Electrical Wiring Using WAGO Terminal Blocks

After much frustration, I finally found out how to insert a new wire. There are 4 holes visible in the WAGO blocks, one for wire, one for a tester, and one for inserting a small screwdriver to release the spring clamp inside so that the wire would go in. I used a slot next to the wire insert point (not visible in photo) to insert small screwdriver, then inserted the wire and removed screwdriver.
