Wire to the fuel lift pump on the starboard side has broken and pulled out of the rubber grommet in to the pump. If I push it back in I can get it to make contact and get the pump to work, but it falls out under way. Any ideas on how to get it to stay secured, and not have to buy a brand new lift pump with the wire on it? Any suggestions will be appreciated.

loose wire

If the wire connects then I would try rtv or other silicon goo to hold if in place

Broken wire

Ed; You need s solid mechanical connection to assure a good electrical connection. Remove the rubber grommet by gently twisting and pulling it. It should pop off. Remove the old connector. The wire likely corroded so you'll need to cut it back to shiny metal, crimp on a new connector, reattach it, press the boot back into place and apply a dab of RTV to seal it.

FIX IT!

Larry is giving you good advice. Fix it, to jury rig it with RTV etc is only asking for it to fail again, and it will probably pick a bad time for that.
