The coated steel lifelines I had were cracked every inch or so with sections of covering missing where it passed thru the stancions and "frays" of wire poking out along the length...

I read about the Dyneema Line being approved for use on racing boats so I thought I'd give it a try...(not to mention it's relatively inexpensive)...

On the Bow Pulpit I made a Brummel Splice and luggage tagged it to the loop...

Strung it thru the stancions and put on a layer of "tubular webbing" chafe guard and secured loose ends with a piece of shrink tubing...Keeps the webbing from unraveling and helps it slip thru the stancion when I un clip the line...

On the stern pulpit I used a pelican clip, ordered in an SS eyebolt of correct thread... I double whipped the loop of the eye with Dacron to cushion bend and attached with a regular push splice cross sewing to keep it from pulling out...

Pulled tight when I marked the loops and still have a few inchs of threads to adjust tension on Pelican Hooks...

Looks Better, no "pokies" and matching color...Whole project under $100..

Congratulations....... I like it........ I do have another comment, however...... posting your pics through photo bucket is annoying to me as a viewer... and I believe... totally unnecessary. There's advertising on each frame, and the upload is much slower than bringing them through the SBO portal... just thought you might like to know... otherwise, enjoy your posts.

SBO posts pics at bottom of page, wouldn't be able to add commentary "between" pics to maintain flow....end up with a paragraph and a bunch of pics in a pile... not acceptable..

I could do forum size pics in the content and skip the thumnails, but then you can't enlarge for detail...

I changed it...easier to read...?

That isn't so bad here ...with all that advertising on the side bar they limit picture size (here) and that helps keep content on a single screen...

I find it very annoying to have to scroll across the screen to read because the pics are too big...really detracts from my viewing experiance....

Excellent move! We even used the same color spectra on the Soverel 33 we race. Big improvement over steel and looks great.
