DVD Ripping Software??

So here is what I learned.

I bought and used 123 Copy DVD Platinum to copy a DVD onto my internal HD. It needs a patch to copy any copy protected dvd and will find and install that patch for free. I then use Handbrake to change the format to MP4 or other format a smart tv can use. I think handbrake was free. That new copy is saved to an external HD. I was able to copy some 50 or more dvds onto a single 500gb HD and have room for plenty more.

Each dvd was one i had bought, by the way. This is similar to copying music cds onto an mp3 player.

Hi Justin, no idea. Not an attorney. All I know is it works. I bought the DVD, converted it using HB and then installed it on our iPad. If somebody has a problem with that, sue HB.

The hard drive is a Western Digital My Pasport wi-fi hard drive and the app is called "My Cloud" by Western Digital.. See post #17 for a link to the hard drive...

I purchased the WD 2 TB Wi-Fi Hard-drive and downloaded the My Cloud app but, I am some how missing the ability to have movies play on my iPad so I thought maybe there was something else I needed to make this happen.

Ok, I got it...had to delete app then reload it...working great!
