Looking for suggestions of what to put into aluminum drinking water tanks to be sure they are safe again. We use an additive by Rule on a regular basis. Thanks

Aluminum tanks are a 'problem' .....

Most common sanitization chemicals are incompatible with aluminum. If the tanks have access ports, the best is to simply get in there and scrub with soap and water to knock all the bacteria colonies (biofilm) off the walls, then follow up with hydrogen peroxide ..... you will need LOTS of hydrogen peroxide. Sanitizing a tank that has an established biofilm .... is next to useless.

Chlorox 2 is rich in H2O2 . Aluminum is

very difficult stuff to store beverages in, that's why they use it for beer kegs.
