Drinking water filter

We use an inline carbon rv hose filter when filling the tank. I also installed an Aquasana under sink 2 stage filter with its own faucet for drinking water. It filters anything possible of concern and makes the water taste great. That said, it would do nothing for bacteria in water.

I have one and think it's a great product.
Maybe a great product but how have you found their service? I have emailed them twice with questions through their Contact Us website. I did get their auto response saying they received my inquiry and would soon be in touch. That was over a month ago. Maybe a good old fashion phone call is in order.

I prefer a system based on industry-standard components. Filters Fast is a good source. Proprietary stuff stinks when it comes to service and you overpay for refills.

It is also not as simple as a filter. That is only one part.

We use a Brita faucet filter - avoids filtering non-drinking water (dishes etc). It seems to be quite effective and generally we go through a couple a season. It has a bypass selector on it... flip to 'Brita' for drinking/tea kettle etc, switch over for dishwater.
