I'm finishing up the air installation on my C30. It strikes me that it might be nice to have something besides lee boards to cover the main hatch with. Has anyone out there done anything different??

Check this out!

Teak Concepts makes beautiful teak and smoked lexan doors. They are expensice but look incredible! You might be able to duplicate the look for less. Check them out, they even have a pic of the doors installed on a C-30! http://www.cruisingconcepts.com/DoorPhoto.html

Cruising Concepts is here too

Go to the chandlery and check out the Cruising Concepts page. $525 gets you some very nice doors. I'd love 'em but my cruising kitty (ha!) is a little low. :) LaDonna

terminology

Lee boards are boards usd to prevent leeway, like a centerboard; I think you meant wash boards, or hatch boards. from: http://www.ozemail.com.au/~davidgem/info/glossary.htm Lee boards Pivoting boards on either side of a boat which serve the same function as a centerboard. The board to leeward is dropped, the board to windward is kept up.
