I'm using the big Hi-Capacity DampRid brand moisture-absorbing bucket in the boat while on the hard. It's now well below freezing here, and I'm wondering if there is potential for the absorbed water to freeze and crack the plastic bucket - which could then leak following thaw. There doesn't seem to be any mention of this on DampRid's web site, nor in the HOW archives. I assume the calcium chloride absorbant lowers the freezing temperature, but am not sure. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!
