DIY Lifelines replacement?

I did for our 23, but I ordered a lifeline from a rigger, I think in Annapolis. I would not try to swage the fittings on the cable ends unless I had a (very expensive) roll swager tool. Hayn (and maybe other companies) make fittings that you can attach to the end of 19 strand stainless wire yourself, but they are pricey and it may be less expensive to simply order lifelines with the studs swaged by a rigger. The Hayn fitting I used was for the top of my headstay, and I needed to be able to attach it myself as I had to do it after the stay was through the furler foils, something you have to do on site or at least locally.

Anyone want to recommend a source for replacement lines for my Hunter 25.5?
This site's shop doesn't list em for this model.

Did ours myself on our first boat, a H28. Most marine chandlers carry bulk life line wire, the swage fittings and the crimp tool. The only requirement was I had to do the crimping, but easy peasy Japan-easy.

Defender sells a kit with all of the fittings for life line placement. Not sure the brand. It took a sat. To cut and screw the fittings together. It comes with lock tight to keep the fittings tight. That was 3 1/2 years ago and the still work and look great.

Looked hard at dyneema lifelines. Ultimately went with WM rigging in Seattle WA. 316 cable and fittings. Finished in 10 days. Look great. Long life span. Set for ocean sailing. Machine swage. Very fair price.

I would echo Victorhoinsington. Did it myself, using a kit from Defender. Easy as pie and still going strong.
