I have a similar section on my check list. I also have to pull and drain the through hull tri-data transducer blank off after the boat is hauled. The speed paddle wheel is almost exactly where one of the slings goes, so it has to come out before lift and the blank off traps water between it’s O rings.

Good point, I do the same as far as removing the speed sensor, but I had never thought about removing the blanking plug - I will add that to mine - Thanks!!

I actually pull it out, dry it, and immediately put the blank off back in with a little silicone lube. One less item for the spring pre-splash check list.
