Dink security
Matt; Sometimes you can't get right next to the dock because of crowding so you need a long painter. Same with your cable. Go to a rigging shop and have a twenty foot 1/4 inch cable made up. Loop one end through a strong point on the outboard, pass it through another strong point on the dink, lead it up to the dock and secure it with the lock, preferably a combination lock, so a lost key won't be a hassle. This may not keep a determined pro from stealing your dink, but it will keep the Saturday night drunk from using your dink to get back to his boat then setting your dink adrift. Happens. Good luck.
