Steve, they can be reused in a pinch IF they are carefully lapped back to flat on both sides before re-installation. Lay some 400 grit paper on a countertop and put a finger on top of the washer. With light pressure, move the gasket over the paper in 1" diameter circles while making a bigger circle about 6" in diameter. When the whole flat is shiny (meaning it is now flat), flip it over and do the other side. I re-emphasize..IN A PINCH. (yes I know they will work harden a little and this will only work about 3 times on the same washer) There are some soft copper automotive oil drain washers too that will work here.. Then, next time you see the Yanmar Man, get some of the new ones with the rubber inserts and be done with them.
