It is a standard 120VAC unit that operates on whatever source is supplied; inverter, shore power, Genset, etc. I know that newer units consume less power, but not an issue here. Could not go wrong for $12.Just wondering how you power that TV. At the dock, w/shore power, or inverter, or maybe it's a DC unit?
You can attach a gimbal bracket to it for wall mounting, which is what I did. Most standard brass lamp gimbal brackets will fit.I have one of those caboose lamps that I use when at anchor. Great for heat and light. Wish I had a convinent place to hang one on the wall.
Agreed seems like a lot of threads are going in that direction. I for one like old school stuff. Then again I am a Old Fart. However I did change out all my cabin and nav lights and bulbs to LED.Benny, lighten up. I'm using an oil lamp in my boat, O.K.? Do you have to argue about everything? If you want to advocate LEDs over oil lamps, start your own thread.
I start a thread asking folks about this particular oil lamp, and it becomes a debate on whether we should use oil lamps, or abandon them for LEDs. Really.
