cutless bearing

I have to replace my cutless bearing. Does any one have any experence with a bearing remover made by strut pro. It seems like it presses out the bearing with removing any thing but the prop.looking for any feed back i can get.Gary

Have a yard do it.

Gary: A cutlass replacement is usually done about once every 10 years. Do yourself a favor and have the yard do it. It will cost about $150 and it will be done.

It is not rocket science

and not that hard to do. Directions have been previously posted here. It might be a good idea to pull the shaft even if you do not have to do that for this maintenance issue. Check the shaft for corrosion under the bearing. Check your woodruf keys at the same time or maybe just replace them anyway.
