Every party has a pooper
Sorry to be the one but be advised galvanized pipe is verboten for use in the hot section (before water injection) according to the ABYC Standard P-1, Table 1 and by adoption verbatim, the USCG.
ABYC Standard P-1, Section 1.7.8
The section of the exhaust system extending from the engine manifold to the point of water injection shall be constructed the same as a dry exhaust system
Table 1 on page 4 of the standard, Dry Exhaust Materials for Diesel Engines (same for gas engines) allows the following: aluminized steel, carbon steel, nickel-iron chrome and stainless steel (type 316L - low carbon). No galvanized, no brass, no bronze.
Point being, your wet exhaust system is wet only after raw water injection. Before that, it's a dry exhaust and has different requirements. Worse yet, the fumes from the galvanizing zinc during off-gassing are, to be polite, toxic; to be accurate, they're potentially deadly.
Be safe my friends.
