Hi everyone,
My wife and I have spent a good part of the season looking at
various boats that we feel will suit our needs for the next few
years and possibly more. We sold our 1975 Sabre 28'MK1 two seasons
ago and truly miss being out ont he water.
Our family is growing, but we want to keep our costs down and time
and enjoyment on the water "up"! A big boat would be great, but with
that (as we all know) comes bigger yard fees, bigger sails, winches,
etc... We have a 2.5 year old and a new one on the way in December.
I also have a 13 year old that visits on the weekends. I am looking
to do daysails, overnights and occassional extended coastal cruising
(probably just with my son or with my wife only). My questions to
the group are as follows:
1. would you recommend the Vega for such sailing (Northern New
England Coast)
2. Some things to watch out for with these boats
3. Some impressive qualities that would make this boat a sure thing!
Any and all comments and recommendations are more than welcomed!
Thank you everyone and hope to see you out there next season!
