Has anyone decided to just throw out their Condensate Pumps and drain their AC Units into the bilge? I've about had it with mine.

Use a Venturi tube to suck condensate out with the discharge water. Draining water into a bilge is never a good solution.

I replaced my condensate pump and it was a pain and it is still working several years later but it would like a simpler solution when it fails again. From where did you get the Venturi tube setup? Or did you make it?

I made it from parts obtained from the local water bed store which sells it to fill/empty their beds. Total cost approx $15. There is a commercial variant called the Condensator which canbe bought for around $150 if you like to aide the economy.

My boat came with the Mermaid Condensators. They do work well. No moving parts to maintain. Just keep a fillter/screen in line and occasionally clean the Condensator itself. If I were to do it now, I would of course look into the less expensive option to make it myself.
