Com-Pac 16 mast hole repair help

I just bought a 1990 Com-Pac 16. The holes on the mast base that hold the bolt to secure the mast to the tabernacle are worn and widened. One hole is almost one bolt width wider. This will cause mast vibration and movement, and eventually a serious problem. Anyone know how to repair and strengthen the mast hole area. Thanks, Vince renzoni1@yahoo.com (863) 699-1119 Florida

You could take the mast to a welder and have the hole welded up and redrilled in the right location. Or you could cut off the base of the mast just above the hole, get another piece of section the same extrusion and splice it on at the base with a sleeve (I like the first option best).
