just made one this winter
Sorry, I don't have a picture. I just took it to the boat yesterday.I got a laminated 3' * 4' * 1" board at Home Depot (not plywood) and cut out a top that fits the space I have in the cockpit. At the aft end of the table top, I cut 2 notches that align with the vertical supports on my "Snap-IT" drink holders. The top slides onto, and sits on the bottom of the drink holder (so it can still be used for drinks). It is secured by 2 SS pins that drop holes drilled thru the table top and drink holder. On the forward end, I mounted a bannister baluster (Home Depot again) cut to the right length to keep the table top level. It is mounted on hinges so that when not in use, the leg swings up against the bottom of the table and is held in place by a SS spring clip (boaters world). I routed the edges of the top, put on some stain, and a bunch of coats of polyurethane and it looks and works great. This word picture may be a little confusing but if you want further info, let me know your e-mail address and I'll get a photo the next trip to the boat.BillTotal cost about $20.When not in use it takes up less space than my hatch boards.
