Anyone have any good ideas for types/suppliers of cockpit tables for an '87 Cat 30 with wheel steering? Suggestions, do's-n-don'ts etc are appreciated. I'm looking for a fold-down table or something that can be stored out of the way until needed... Sail on!! Jim

An Option

Jim, I know Edson sells tables that mount on the pedestal. I follow the Catalina 27 and 30 email lists on Sailnet. There is a guy on the C-27 list that makes tables. They look nice. I have not bought one yet but a friend has and he likes it. May be worth a look. http://www.robertie.com/woodcraft/ Jim K

Make one....

If you are handy with woodwork, you can make one yourself. I made the folding type table using finished mill oak planks from Lowes and stainless steel piano hinges. Looks great and the oak is holding up great after 1 year, no warping, etc. I gave it a coating of varnish after some stain to match my other wood work. All in all, costs me about $30 bucks. Good luck, Paul
